Aim: modernise, enlarge and improve the appearance of the charming farmhouse spoiled by unsympathetic flat-roofed extensions.

The site: the clients fell in love with this fabulous 10-acre site with its gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside, its lovely garden and impressive house, which oozes potential. There are two outbuildings, a cart shed and barn, both listed, to be upgraded. Proposals for their improvement are also featured within this website.

The plans: two inappropriate flat-roofed 1960s additions are to be removed from the side and rear of the house. A new large conservatory will overlook the rear gardens, while extensions will add a sitting room, kitchen and utility room, three bedrooms (two with en-suite), a bathroom and dressing room. The present accommodation is being reconfigured to make it more convienient.
