We added a new kitchen and breakfast room to this 1960s architect-designed house in Hills Road, Cambridge. Our client was delighted with the result, especially as he had a sale within two weeks of putting the house on the market.
The white kitchen fittings add style to the flat-roofed contemporary extension. The ceilings are high, and the tall floor-to-ceiling storage cupboards make the most of all the space. Other features which emphasize space are the flooring and the large sliding/folding doors that lead onto the terrace and garden. The same stone floor tiles are used internally and externally – and at the same level – giving an almost seamless transition from inside to outside. The underfloor heating gives the final touch of luxury.
