Located in a village about five miles from Cambridge this 3/4 bedroom detached house had a large rear modern style garden room added in 2009 by the previous owners. Believed to built in the early 1900s, the original house was in need of renovation to bring it up to todays living standards.
The alterations included the demolition and replacement of the modern single storey extension with a two-storey extension more sympathetic to the feel of the existing property. The extension provides a large kitchen/breakfast area and an additional double bedroom to the first floor. A new staircase and improved bathroom and utility facilities also contributed to provide improved circulation to this property. The existing garage was replaced as well.
Reclaimed imperial bricks to match the existing, traditional rise and fall sash windows and brick arches were all used in the extension to match the appearance of the original house.
