This Grade II listed cottage on the outskirts of Great Dunmow, Essex, originally featured a fragmented and ad‑hoc layout. Our redesign introduces a coherent and efficient linear plan that enhances the flow and usability of the home.
A new extension accommodates a reconfigured kitchen and dining/breakfast area, opening onto the garden through a striking glazed gable that brings in generous natural light. At the opposite end of the property, we added a new boot room, cloakroom and a practical utility space—carefully integrated to improve functionality while respecting the character of the historic cottage.
