The client wanted to extend this Grade II listed timber-framed thatched cottage.We applied for and received planning permission and Listed Building Consent in October 2014 for a 11/2 storey rear extension. This will provide an additional entrance hall, study and kitchen/breakfast room on the ground floor, with a master bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the first. Finished with black horizontal timber boarding and render walls, under a traditional steeply-pitched plain clay tile roof, it will be in keeping with the appearance of the original cottage.
