Hill House is a Grade II listed farm house in the centre of the Essex village of Elmdon. This attractive house was somewhat spoilt by a poorly-designed two-storey rear extension with a shallow-pitched roof finished in concrete plain tiles. We demolished and replaced the unsuitable extension with a much larger new two-storey extension. This has two pitched roofs with a central valley gutter and cat-slide roofs. It is timber framed, rendered, with oak details. It provides a new entrance hall, utility room, open plan kitchen/breakfast area and garden room on the ground floor and master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and dressing room and a further bedroom on the first floor.
