Planning permission for seven, new large detached houses on this site in Great Dunmow was granted in October 2015. Work was completed in 2017. The houses are laid out around a planted area using mature trees and shrubs, with paths and seating areas. The planting area was one of the first parts of the development to carried out, providing a wonderful setting for the new houses. This ensured, by the time the development was completed the trees and planting would be well established. A selection of local materials are used externally, including painted render, red facing brickwork, horizontal timber boarding all under an arrangement of steeply pitched roofs finished with plain clay tiles.
